Gerechten voor Kleine Paleo Bengels, zoals de ondertitel luidt.
Een boek voor ouders die Paleo zijn gaan eten of willen gaan eten of voor diegenen die opzoek zijn naar lekkere en makkelijk te bereiden maaltijden zonder gluten, lactose of suiker, omdat je erachter bent gekomen dat je kind hier slecht op reageert of zelfs intolerant of allergisch voor is gebleken.
Het boek begint met een aantal tips die je niet alleen verder helpen om Paleo te introduceren bij je kids, maar ook om met eten in het algemeen om te gaan. Super handig voor iedere ouder of ieder ander die met kinderen te maken heeft!
Het belang van het kind te betrekken bij het bereiden van de maaltijden staat voorop in dit boek en dat is prachtig, want dat is ook naar mijn idee de beste manier om je kind op een gezonde manier te leren omgaan met voeding. Kinderen vinden het heerlijk om betrokken te worden en mee te beslissen en helpen, dan zijn ze ook veel meer bereid ervan mee te eten.
Alle recepten zijn dan ook zo gemaakt, dat kinderen kunnen meehelpen met de bereiding ervan. Bij elk recept staat zelfs een tip voor wat een kind zou kunnen doen om te helpen bij het maken van de gerechten. Vooral erg leuk voor de wat jongere kinderen.
De Recepten
In het Paleo Kids boek vind je recepten voor het ontbijt, tussendoortjes, heerlijke lunches uit verschillende delen van de wereld, hoofdmaaltijden en leuke feestelijke hapjes voor als er iets te vieren valt en er wellicht uitgedeeld moet worden.
Alle recepten zijn echt kinderlijk eenvoudig en leuk om samen met je kinderen te maken. Ik heb een aantal recepten uitgeprobeerd en ga er zeker nog meer uit maken. Wij vonden vooral het Mighty Meaty Bananenbrood een succes, maar ook de Meaty Muffins en de Italiaanse Visvingers vielen goed in de smaak.
Omdat ik het GAPS-dieet volg kan ik niet alles zelf proeven, want dingen als tapiocameel of kastanjemeel mag ik niet hebben, maar wie is er nou een betere tester dan de kinderen zelf? Ik zal dus ook zeker een keer de Apenballetjes in een Kokosbad voor ze maken en de Spicy Pompoenkoekjes bijvoorbeeld!
Vrolijk en Kleurrijk
Door de kleurrijke foto’s is het Paleo Kids e-book ook een boek dat kinderen meteen aanspreekt. Het ziet er allemaal heel vrolijk uit en nodigt kinderen echt uit om met elkaar iets lekkers en gezonds uit te zoeken en dat dan samen te gaan maken. Toen mijn jongste (bijna 8) het op mijn computerscherm zag, riep ze verschillende keren uit hoe leuk ze iets vond en hoe graag ze iets wilde maken.

Het Paleo Kids e-book is een uitnodigend boek, ideaal boek voor jou en je kinderen, wanneer je graag met het hele gezin over wilt gaan op paleo voeding of wanneer je ontdekt hebt dat je kind -lactose-, suiker- of glutenintolerant is. Een regelrechte aanrader!
Allemaal eenvoudig samen met de kinderen te bereiden gerechten en een feest om naar te kijken!
