Natuurlijk schoonmaken voor een prikkie, de puntjes op de i

Natuurlijk schoonmaken: de wasDit is het 5e en laatste deel over natuurlijk schoonmaken voor een prikkie. In week 1 kon je lezen wat je allemaal nodig hebt en gaf ik je enkele basisrecepten voor allesreinigers. In deel 2 was de keuken aan de beurt, deel 3 behandelde de badkamer en het 4e deel de was. Vandaag zetten we nog wat puntjes op de i met wat laatste schoonmaaktips die in de andere delen nog niet aan de orde zijn gekomen. En dan is ons hele huis weer fris zonder allerlei giftige chemicaliën en synthetische stoffen!

 

 

Luchtverfrissers

Onbegrijpelijk vind ik het dat er zoveel mensen zijn die van die chemische luchtverfrissers gebruiken: chemische wolken met synthetische parfums die andere, nare luchtjes zouden moeten verbloemen, brrr ze ruiken niet eens lekker! Ik vind ze vaak veel te zwaar en overdreven en gewoon ronduit vies… En dat terwijl er zoveel natuurlijke oplossingen zijn die naar mijn mening ook nog eens veel aangenamer zijn om te ruiken!

Een aantal mogelijkheden op een rijtje:

  • In plaats van de lucht te verpesten met chemische rotzooi, kun je ten eerste kamerplanten in huis halen die de lucht voor je zuiveren. In dit artikel van mij lees je daar meer over.
  • Soda of natriumbicarbonaat zijn prima huismiddeltjes om nare luchtjes op te nemen. Ik besprak het al in het tweede deel van deze serie over de keuken: zet een bakje met soda in de koelkast om nare luchtjes op te nemen en vervang dit regelmatig. Je kunt dit nog wat verder voeren op plekken waar nare luchtjes kunnen hangen, zoals op het toilet of bij een kattenbak. Neem daarvoor een klein glazen potje zonder deksel en doe er 4 eetlepel natrium bicarbonaat in met een stuk of 5 druppels van je favoriete essentiële olie. Sluit het potje af met een doekje en een elastiek.
  • Een mooie manier om vooral de lucht in de keuken lekker te laten ruiken en dus erg gunstig voor als je een open keuken hebt, is om sinaasappelschillen en/of een paar pijpjes kaneel en kruidnagel in een pot met water zachtjes op het vuur te laten sudderen. Wel in de gaten houden of het niet droogkookt!
  • Als je net als ik regelmatig op Pinterest te vinden bent, zul je vast deze kaars van een sinaasappelschil als luchtverfrisser vast ook wel eens zijn tegengekomen.

Natuurlijk schoonmaken voor een prikkie

  • Een essentiële olieverdamper, ooit door mijn zoon aangeduid met ‘geurluchtje’, is natuurlijk ook nog een goede mogelijkheid. In de winter als je de verwarming aanhebt, kun je in plaats van zo’n (vaak dure) verdamper ook een vochtig doekje, bijvoorbeeld een washandje, op de verwarming leggen met daarop enkele druppels van je favoriete etherische oliën.
  • Maak je eigen lucht verfrissende spray, zie recept hieronder.


Ingrediënten

  • 250 ml. water, bijvoorkeur gedestilleerd
  • 4 eetlepels vodka
  • 30 druppels etherische oliën naar keuze of een kant en klare olie mix uit de winkel

Werkwijze

Doe alle ingrediënten in een spuitfles van donker glas, zodat de etherische oliën langer goed blijven. Goed schudden voor gebruik.

 

Combinaties van etherische oliën waaraan je kunt denken zijn:

  • Lavendel en citroen
  • Lavendel en pepermunt
  • Lavendel en vanille
  • Sinaasappel met enkele druppels kruidnagel
  • Sinaasappel en rozemarijn
  • Patchouli en sandelhout
  • Cederhout en kaneel



Vloeren reinigen


Natuurlijk schoonmaken voor een prikkie

Gladde vloeren, harde vloeren zoals laminaat, parket, linoleum en tegels

Neem een emmer heet water en los daarin 4 eetlepels groene zeep in op met 20 druppels citroenolie. Als de vloer vettig is, kun je er nog twee eetlepels azijn bij doen.

In plaats van groene zeep, kun je ook een flinke scheut natuurazijn in een emmer water doen en daarmee de vloer dweilen.


Tapijten

Zelf heb ik geen tapijt en dus heb ik deze recepten niet uitgeprobeerd. Ik vond ze in verschillende Amerikaans e-boeken die ik in mijn verzameling heb (zie onderaan).
Probeer ze eerst uit op een plek die niet zo in het zicht valt!


Schuimende Tapijtreiniger

Een schuimende tapijtreiniger kun je maken door bij een liter (gedestilleerd) water 250 ml. groene zeep te doen en 15 druppels pepermuntolie. Mix in een blender. 
Wrijf het schuim in met een vochtige spons, laat volledig opdrogen en zuig vervolgens op met een stofzuiger.

Vlekken verwijderaar voor tapijt

Mix gelijke delen azijn en water in een plantenspuit en spuit dit op de vlek. Laat dit zo’n 5 minuten intrekken en wrijf dan de vlek weg. Herhaal indien nodig.

Hele hardnekkige vlekken kun je verwijderen met een pasta van zeezout, borax en natuurazijn, neem van elk 4 eetlepels en meng dit tot een pasta. Wrijf de vlek in met deze pasta en laat enkele uren zitten, waarna je alles opzuigt met de stofzuiger.


Middel tegen nare luchtjes in het tapijt

Neem een beker natrium bicarbonaat, roer daar 20 druppels etherische olie naar keuze door en strooi dit gelijkmatig over het tapijt. Laat het enkele uren liggen en zuig vervolgens op met de stofzuiger.

 

Houten oppervlakken reinigen en onderhouden

Hout kan op verschillende manieren behandeld zijn en afhankelijk van de behandeling gebruik je verschillende methoden om het schoon te maken.

  • Veel hout in huis is waarschijnlijk in de blanke lak gezet of geschilderd. Denk aan een parketvloer of geschilderde kozijnen en dergelijke. Dit kun je het beste afnemen met een oplossing van groene zeep in warm water. Reken ongeveer 2 eetlepels zeep op een liter water. 
    Wel even naspoelen met schoon water om droogvlekken te voorkomen.
  • Gepolijst hout of hout dat in de hoogglans lak staat, kun je afnemen met een vochtige, zachte doek met daarom wat olijfolie gesprenkeld en eventueel enkele druppels etherische olie voor een lekker luchtje.
  • Parketvloeren kun je schoonmaken zoals eerder genoemd onder ‘Vloeren reinigen’
  • Geolied hout kun je ook met bovenstaande oplossing reinigen. Laat het oppervlak goed opdrogen en wrijf het vervolgens in met een schone doek en wat kokosolie of lijnzaadolie.
    Geolied hout kun je gemakkelijk herkennen door op een onopvallend plekje wat lijnzaadolie of olijfolie erop te druppelen. Trekt het er in, dan is het hout geolied, blijft het erop liggen, dan is het in de was gezet.
  • Hout dat in de was staat, kun je afnemen met een doek en vervolgens met meubelwas (bijenwas met terpentijn) inwrijven.

  1. Inderdaad kun je alles bakken in extra virgin olijfolie en gebruiken voor de huid!. In de echte kun je makkelijk bakken en koken en kun je eigenlijk zo op je huid smeren. Vaak zie je dat extra virgin verkocht wordt als puur, maar let op dat er ook veel gemengde olijfolien op de markt zijn. Je herkend echte extra virgin olijfolie aan de “vlokkerigheid”als de olie onder 8 graden komt. Dan gaan de bestanddelen wat “klonteren”. Dit betekent dat je de echte en pure extra virgin olijfolie hebt. Als deze helder blijft dan is deze absoluut vermengd en is niet aan te raden om in te bakken of in salades te gebruiken. Meestal zitten er dan teveel residuen (andere stoffen, vervuiling) in, die het vlokken tegengaan. Dus de tip van de vakman, vraag als je olijfolie koopt bij welke temperatuur deze gaat vlokken. Als er geen antwoord komt of dat gebeurt niet , dan weet je dat je niet de echte extra virgin olijfolie koopt!

  670. First of all I want to say wonderful blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you do not
    mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your head prior to writing.

    I’ve had a tough time clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out there.

    I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are wasted just trying to figure out how to begin.
    Any recommendations or tips? Kudos!
