Gezelligheid kent geen Tijd
In de winter is de heer des huizes veel thuis, omdat er dan weinig of geen werk voor hem is. Financieel natuurlijk niet zo handig, maar wel beren gezellig 😉
Nu is de winter nog niet voorbij, integendeel ik hoop dat die nog gaat komen…., maar na de kerstvakantie waren we steevast van plan ons oude ritme weer op te pakken. Maandags na de vakantie begonnen we vol goede moed, al viel het vroege opstaan niet mee of eigenlijk, mij lukte dat niet 😉
Een Nieuwe Uitdaging
Toch ben ik die dag gaan schrijven en wist ik er zowaar een blogpost uit te persen. Alleen niet voor de Voedzame Keuken… Per 1 januari heb ik namelijk het blog Eet Goed, Voel je Goed van Heleen overgenomen. Een blog erbij dus waar je ook mijn schrijfsels kunt bewonderen!
Dit betekent dat er voor de Voedzame Keuken wel wat minder tijd overblijft, het moet toch uit de lengte of de breedte komen natuurlijk, die tijd. Dus in plaats van 3 à 4 artikelen per week, worden het er nu 1 of 2. De tijd zal het leren of ik dat allemaal kan rondbreien straks met het gezin met 3 kinderen thuis, 2 tuinen, 2 blogs en een tweede huishouden elders… In ieder geval heb ik er weer zin in en zit ik weer vol met inspiratie voor heerlijke recepten en interessante informatie.
Vorige week kwamen er onverwacht logees. Super gezellig natuurlijk, maar weinig productief…. Dus plakte ik er ongevraagd nog maar een weekje aan vast, aan die blogvakantie hier op de Voedzame Keuken. Die vakantie is nu voorbij, ik ga weer aan de slag!
Speaking Circles
Om te beginnen een kleine update voor wat mijn gezondheidstoestand betreft. Daarvoor begin ik bij een cursus die ik in december heb gevolgd.
Het is namelijk zo, dat ik al geruime tijd met het idee rondloop om workshops te gaan geven en misschien ook lezingen. Vooral voor dat eerste is veel belangstelling. Veel mensen vinden het prettig om de kunst eerst irl af te kijken, bijvoorbeeld bij het maken van zuurkool of andere fermenten.
Nu ben ik niet zo’n held en sta ik niet graag voor groepen, maar wellicht moest ik maar eens uit die comfortzone. Dus ging ik opzoek naar een training voor spreken in het openbaar. Ik stuitte op Speaking Circles en dat sprak me meteen aan. Heb me ingeschreven voor een gratis avond en dat beviel zo goed, dat ik de eerst volgende kans heb genomen die er was om een dagtraining te volgen. Dat was voor de kerst en een fantastische ervaring waaruit ik veel kracht en zekerheid heb weten te halen!
Naar de Mesologe
Maar goed, daar gaat het nu allemaal even niet om. Wat ik wilde zeggen was dat ik tijdens die training een vrouw ontmoette die een opleiding voor natuurgeneeskunde (mesologie) aan het doen was en in februari examen gaat doen. Zij had nog proefpersonen nodig en omdat ik al zo’n tijd kamp met mijn ontlasting, leek me dit een uitgelezen kans.
Als je hier al even meeleest, dan heb je misschien ook gelezen dat ik zo’n 21 maanden terug het GAPS-dieet begon vanwege vaak erg dunne ontlasting. Na 18 maanden was daar eigenlijk amper verbetering in gekomen en ben ik weer wat zetmeel producten gaan toevoegen, zoals witte rijst, aardappel en haver. De granen met gluten laat ik nog even voor wat ze zijn.
Ik vermoed SIBO en daarvoor zou een low-FODMAP dieet goed zijn, maar op de een of andere manier kon ik me daar maar niet toe zetten. Heb het een beetje losgelaten allemaal en besloten daar in dit nieuwe jaar mee aan de slag te gaan. En toen kwam deze mogelijkheid op mijn pad.
Mesologie, ik kende het eigenlijk niet, maar interessant is het zeker! Naast het voelen van de pols volgens de Ayurveda en de Chinese gezondheidsleer en het bestuderen van de tong, wordt Je wordt helemaal doorgemeten op zo’n 80-100 acupunctuur punten op handen en voeten.
Allerlei voedingsstoffen als mineralen worden getest, maar ook de typische allergenen als gluten en lactose. Vervolgens wordt gekeken naar mogelijke middelen die zouden kunnen helpen. Dit kunnen orthomoleculaire voedingssupplementen zijn, homeopathische middelen of kruiden zijn.
Wat eruit kwam
Ik ben er zo’n 2 uur geweest en de uitslag was toch wel opzienbarend.
Zo zou mijn vetvertering niet optimaal zijn! Dat kan deels de te dunne ontlasting verklaren. Er werd me aangeraden minder (…) vet te eten. Op gluten en tarwe reageerde ik wel een beetje, niet heel extreem, maar genoeg om die voorlopig te laten staan. Lactose daarentegen was niet echt een probleem en aardappel (nachtschade) helemaal geen punt, gelukkig!
Ook was er sprake van een calciumtekort veroorzaakt doordat de calcium de cel niet in wil. Ligt dus niet aan mijn dieet, dat kon ook bijna niet! Magnesium was ook aan de lage kant en ijzer ook.
Er blijkt toch ook, ondanks 1,5 jaar GAPS een bacterie te zitten, al was dit niet heel duidelijk. Of ze kon zien of deze nou in de dunne darm of dikke darm dan zit, dat weet ik eerlijk gezegd niet, dat zal ik nog navragen. Ook de blaas en de lever waren wat belast en daarom werd me aangeraden meer water te drinken.
Wat er in gaat
3 Middelen kreeg ik mee, 2 homeopathische en een kruidenpreparaat. Morgen haal ik ze op bij de apotheek en dan ga ik daar de komende 2 maanden mee aan de gang. Eens zien of er iets verbetert, ik ben reuze benieuwd!
In ieder geval ga ik nu dit op mijn pad is gekomen hiermee aan de gang en zet ik het FODMAP-dieet even in de wachtstand. Het zal niet voor niets zijn geweest immers, dat ik haar ben tegengekomen!

Tsja, een mesoloog. Daar ben ik ook geweest. Ik had me van te voren voorgenomen hem niet te geloven als hij zei dat ik Lyme of Pfeiffer zou hebben. Maar hij zei iets heel anders, namelijk dat ik Lyme en waarschijnlijk óók Pfeiffer had. Daardoor liet ik me in eerste instantie toch nog even in de luren leggen. Maar ik kan natuurlijk niet hard maken dat er mesologen zijn die betere resultaten bereiken. En ik ken veel mensen die zeggen veel baat te hebben gehad van zijn behandeling (en aangezien zijn voedingsadviezen redelijk zijn, verbaast me dat ook niet).
Ik heb dan ook meer vertrouwen in een ademtest. Die wordt hier wellicht op een iets minder geavanceerde manier toegepast dan in Amerika, maar voldoet m.i. Beter dan een mesoloog. Het verbeteren van je vetvertering lijkt me ook beter dan het weglaten van vet uit de voeding. Zeker na het boek van Weston Price gelezen te hebben.
Je hebt helemaal gelijk hoor, Jan Dirk! Ik was ook niet van plan om mijn vetconsumptie drastisch te gaan minderen 🙂 Deze mesologe kwam echter op mijn pad en ik denk dan altijd maar: dat is niet voor niets!
Ik ga die ademtest zeker ook nog doen. Ik houd je op de hoogte in ieder geval via dit blog!
