3 Etherische Oliën Getest + Introductie Korting Le Jardin Bio

Voortdurend struin ik het internet af opzoek naar goede en mooie producten en fijne (web)winkels. Vaak in eerste instantie voor mezelf, maar zeker ook voor jou als lezer. Dit blog ben ik immers ooit begonnen om de zoektocht naar ingrediënten en spullen die passen bij het eten volgens WAPF voor jou als lezer in kaart te brengen. Niemand hoeft opnieuw het wiel uit te vinden en waarom zou ik mijn bevindingen voor mezelf houden? Sharing is Caring, staat er immers onder mijn blogposts!

Le Jardin Bio

Zo stuitte ik alweer een tijd terug op zoek naar frambozenpitolie op de kleine (web)winkel
le Jardin Bio, met behalve deze olie ook tal van andere mooie pure en ecologische producten voor de uiterlijke verzorging. Je vindt er behalve etherische oliën, ook zuivere bloesemwaters, shampoos en verschillende zepen. Alles puur natuur zonder petrochemische derivaten, zonder sulfaat, gewoon 100% plantaardige ingrediënten, biologisch gecertificeerd en niet op dieren getest.

Ik raakte met de eigenaresse ‘aan de praat’ en ze vroeg mij of ik een paar soorten etherische oliën wilde testen. Dat liet ik me natuurlijk geen twee keer zeggen!

 

Etherische oliën

Etherische oliën zijn ooit het eerste alternatieve product geweest waar ik me echt in ging verdiepen. Internet was nog niet dat wat het nu is en dus moest ik mijn informatie uit boeken halen die ik bij de Slegte kocht of leende van de bibliotheek. Ik kocht flesjes bij de eerste de beste winkel waar ik ze vond en had nog geen idee van kwaliteitsverschillen tussen de etherische oliën.

In de loop der jaren had ik een aantal oliën die ik steeds weer kocht vanwege hun lekkere geur of voor bepaalde toepassingen. Zo heb ik altijd wel tea tree bij de hand voor eerste hulp dingen en lavendel voor van alles en nog wat en gewoon omdat het zo heerlijk ruikt! Het doet me denken aan onze vakanties vroeger naar Frankrijk.

Het is zelfs zo dat lavendelolie mijn allereerste kennismaking met etherische olie was. Ik was een jaar of 11 en ik kreeg voor mijn verjaardag een verdampflesje met lavendelolie uit Frankrijk. Mijn hele kamer geurde er naar.

Van le Jardin Bio ontving ik drie verschillende oliën van het merk Saint Hilaire, een kleine distilleerderij uit Frankrijk die voor de locale planten alleen gebruik maakt van kleine onafhankelijke producenten uit de regio en met bio keurmerk. Als je wilt kun je deze distilleerderij opzoeken als je daar (Auvergne) eens op vakantie bent.

Ik ontving een lavendelolie om het verschil te ervaren met de oliën die ik eerder wel eens kocht en twee voor mij nog onbekende soorten: Palmarosa voor een hardnekkige kalknagel en Ravintsara omdat ik die niet kende en die wel wat aandacht verdient.

 

 

Lavendelolie

etherische olie testZoals gezegd is lavendelolie een door mij veel gebruikte olie. En omdat deze olie zo veelzijdig is, mag hij ook niet in jouw assortiment ontbreken. Het is aan te raden altijd een flesje in de buurt te hebben, want het is namelijk een prima eerste hulp middel.

Zelf gebruik ik lavendelolie voor van alles en nog wat. Zo doe ik wel eens een druppeltje in de stofzuigerzak om die nare lucht weg te krijgen of ik doe een paar druppeltjes op een steentje in het toilet.

We hebben deze olie voornamelijk gebruikt om lekker te kunnen slapen, vooral mijn jongste vraagt regelmatig om enkele druppels op haar hoofdkussen.

Deze Saint Hilaire olie blijkt hier uitermate geschikt voor te zijn. De olie is krachtig en behoud lang zijn geur en we slapen iedere keer als roosjes, als we de olie op het hoofdkussen hebben gedruppeld.

Ook verwerk de olie graag in mijn magnesium body-butter om het ontspannende effect van de magnesium te versterken. Of ik doe enkele druppels in mijn badwater, heerlijk rustgevend en kalmerend.

Kortom een olie om enthousiast over te zijn en die ik de volgende keer zeker weer ga aanschaffen!

 

 

Palmarosa

etherische olie testDe Palmarosa had ik gekregen omdat ik een kalknagel had. Samen met geraniumolie is palmarosa de olie bij uitstek tegen schimmelinfecties. Ik heb deze olie een dag of 10 zo’n twee keer per dag op de nagel gedruppeld. Ik had de hoop dat de kalknagel vanzelf wel zou verdwijnen door het GAPS-dieet, het is immers een aandoening die vaak van binnenuit komt. Dat gebeurde echter niet, de plek werd alleen maar groter…

Of het door de olie kwam, of door de schimmel zelf, dat weet ik eerlijk gezegd niet, maar de plek werd zacht zodat ik het aangetaste deel makkelijk kon weg schrapen. De plek breidde zich ook niet meer uit. Het is nog niet helemaal weg, maar het is in ieder geval onder controle.

 

De laatste tijd vergeet ik het nog wel eens om er wat olie op te doen, desalniettemin ziet het er goed uit en heb ik er vertrouwen in dat de nagel straks weer genezen is.

Let op! Palmarosa is niet geschikt voor zwangeren!

 

 

Ravintsara

etherische olie test

Ravintsara is antiviraal,  antibacterieel en versterkend voor het immuunsysteem, daarom uitermate geschikt bij verkoudheden, griep, bronchitis etc. en een aanrader om in huis te halen voor de winter. Het helpt de luchtwegen vrij te houden. Ook is ravintsara fijn ter voorkoming van een herpes (koortslip) uitbraak of om deze sneller te doen verdwijnen.

Zonder prikkelend te zijn is ravintsara stimulerend voor het zenuwstelsel en kan deze daarom ook ingezet worden bij slapeloosheid en angsten

Het duurde even voor ik deze olie kon testen, we werden maar niet verkouden, laat staan dat we griep of bronchitis kregen, maar het is gelukt! Mijn jongste werd verkouden en lag op een nacht flink te hoesten. De volgende avond heb ik haar borst ingewreven met een mengsel van 50ml. olijfolie en iets van 25 druppels ravintsara. Die nacht sliep ze heerlijk rustig en heb ik haar amper horen hoesten!

Zelf voelde ik een fikse verkoudheid aankomen, aangekondigd door keelpijn en niezen. Nog diezelfde avond nam ik een heet bad met 10 druppels ravintsara, 5 druppels van de lavendelolie en nog 5 druppels sinaasappelolie en een beetje kokosolie en een beker epsomzout. Het rook niet alleen super lekker, maar was ook nog eens heerlijk ontspannend.

Ik voelde me meteen stukken beter en hoewel ik de volgende dag wel een beetje verkouden was, zette dit niet echt door en was ik er met twee dagen weer vanaf, terwijl ik er anders altijd minstens een week mee blijf lopen en ik veel meer zakdoeken nodig heb!

Ravintsara is een prettig geurende olie, geschikt voor kinderen vanaf een jaar of 1. Geschikt voor in een verdamper of gemengd met een basisolie voor op de huid. Ravintsara wordt niet aangeraden voor zwangeren en baby’s jonger dan een jaar.

 

Conclusie

Er zijn veel verschillende merken van etherische oliën op de markt, het is moeilijk om het kaf van het koren te scheiden. De oliën van Saint Hilaire die ik nu getest heb zijn me in ieder geval uitstekend bevallen. ze zijn krachtig en behouden lang hun geur. Dat het om een klein bedrijf gaat dat waar mogelijk werkt met lokale leveranciers, een bedrijf dat je eventueel kunt gaan bezoeken en met biologische certificering zijn allemaal pluspunten.

    • Er zijn zoveel toepassingen. Zo kun je het verdampen puur alleen voor de fijne geur of om iets te bereiken, zoals rust, ontspanning of juist opwekkend afhankelijk van welke olie je kiest, of om de luchtwegen te openen, geurtjes te verdrijven, je kunt het toevoegen aan schoonmaakmiddelen voor de geur, voor de ontsmettende, antibacteriële werking van sommige oliën. Of je doet het in je zelfgemaakte schoonheidsproducten, zoals shampoos of body butter of in bad om verschillende dingen te bereiken. Bijvoorbeeld tegen roos, om te verwarmen of juist te koelen, om de bloedsomloop te stimuleren, om schimmels of andere infecties tegen te gaan, om te ontspannen of juist te verkwikken etc. Op het internet kun je honderden, zo niet duizenden tips vinden voor het gebruik van verschillende oliën. Wel opletten met sommigen als je zwanger bent of bij gebruik met jonge kinderen. Niet alle oliën kun je onverdund ongestraft op de huid aanbrengen ook.
